CENTRAL ASIA
Central Asia is a new region comprising new countries breaking up from the former Soviet Union (only those located in Asia). It covers 4,021,431 square kilometers of land with approximately 61,551,945 people (February 2010). Therefore, it is one of the world lowest population density area at 15 people per 1 square kilometer. Being land-locked, the export and trade of the Central Asia have been slowly developed. The region’s main export markets are Russia, Eastern Europe and Southwestern Asia. The major geography of the region is highland with only flat areas surrounding the Caspian Sea. The two major religions are Islam and Christianity.
